Dear Colleagues and Friends,

It is our honoure and privilege to invite you to participate in the Asia-Pacific Stroke Conference to be held in Jakarta from 6-8 September 2018, organised by Indonesian Stroke Society (INASSOC). The Asia-Pacific Stroke Conference has established itself over the years as one of the leading platforms in the Asia-Pacific region for the exchange of skills, continuing education, and new research development especially in the vascular, stroke, and endovascular areas.

Our aim is to bring together participants to engage with each other during the workshops and scientific symposia, and to meet with our prominent faculty from the Asia-Pacific region and beyond. Participants are welcome to showcase their research, complex cases, as well as interact and share their learning and experience with others during the informative poster and oral/ platform presentations. To encourage the investigators, there will be prizes for the best poster and oral presentations. To complement the scientific aspects of the Conference, we will organize a special night for our participants to enjoy a wide variety of Indonesian traditional and international cuisine while being entertained by our artistes.

While in Jakarta, which is officially the special capital region of Indonesia, we urge you to enjoy the historical mix of cultures - the Old town, Kota Tua, which is home to the Dutch colonial Buildings, Glodok ( Jakarta’s Chinatown) and the old port of Sunda Kelapa, where traditional wooden schooners dock. Central Medan Merdeka square is the site of National Monument, or “MONAS”, a marble obelisk with an observational deck. Taman Mini Indonesia Indah cultural village re-creates traditional houses, stages performances and has several museums. Offshore are “Thousand Islands,” some beaches and resorts as part of our marine national park. Ancol Dreamland is the resort with theme parks, beaches, golf courses, and sea food. Once you have landed, you will see our new international airport with the Skytrain to connect between terminals 1, 2 and 3. The Soekarno-Hatta Airport Rail Link would be operational soon.

We warmly welcome you to join with us to develop and improve our knowledge in this conference and to have a chance to exchange ideas and share research, opening opportunities in the future.
